Plaz Metaxu Garden Visit : Thursday 27th July 2017
Pairadaeza, the old Persian word for an enclosed space also lends its name to the notion of the Persian garden of paradise.
In conjunction with the current Pairadaeza exhibition at White Moose a special visit to the private garden of Plaz Metaxu, Witheridge, Devon was arranged.
Gardens are often places of beauty but also of artifice where nature is shaped by man, where many of the themes explored in the Pairadaeza exhibition are given resonance; a place where nature, art and spirituality are fused. The Plax Metaxu garden is not usually open to the public so this specially arranged visit offered a rare opportunity to see this beautiful and thought-provoking garden.
