TOPOS : Walk & Talk with Simon Persighetti of Wright & Sites

Leaving the Building

Walk & Talk with Simon Persighetti

Friday 31 July

10 am – 1 pm

TOPOS will host Leaving the Building with Simon Persighetti of Wrights & Sites. This is a Mis-Guided walk in Exeter City Centre to look at the spaces between buildings and to focus on the relationship between the person in the street and the architectural environment. The walk will include small interventions and tasks as well as live Topographical discoveries.

The Walk and Talk is FREE and is part of research for Wrights & Sites‘ upcoming publication ARCHITECT-WALKERS, a new Mis-Guide from the company that produced A Mis-Guide to Exeter (2003) and A Mis-Guide to Anywhere (2006). After the walk there will be an informal discussion at TOPOS to share your experiences over coffee and tea.

Meet at TOPOS at 10am. Bring sunblock, water, a snack and a camera, if you like to record experiences. Please wear footwear suitable for urban exploration. The event is free of charge, but please book a place through SIMON PERSIGHETTI :, 07717577248

TOPOS is a studio, exhibition and event space initiated by Exeter based artist Volkhardt Müller. Throughout 2015 it will hold a growing body of work made in response to the landscapes and themes that frame, intersect and sustain the city and its people.

During this time TOPOS will host 3 artists residencies, hold public work-in-progress showings and discussion events, and stage an exhibition of new work in tandem with Double Elephant’s Redefining Print symposium in November 2015.
