marcus lanyon

Bristol-based artist Marcus utilizes a hybrid language of materials to create a seductively disquieting observation of instinctive, cultured and imagined narratives. These narratives weave the quiet violence of mortality with simultaneously contemporary and ancient human concerns, luring us in with a sense of both attraction and repulsion.

After graduating from the Royal College of Art, Lanyon was selected as one of the Saatchi Gallery and Channel 4’s ‘4 New Sensations’. His work is also included in the Zabludowicz Collection.

Marcus’ upcoming exhibition and project Age of Panic is due to debut at White Moose on the 21 April 2017, before touring to several other galleries in the South West and Griffin Gallery, London. Age of Panic projects and workshops are kindly funded by Arts Council England.
