Kevin Green, Small Pots, 2013

Kevin Green works exclusively in decorated functional stoneware and came to his current approach after many years of exploring the possibilities of various clays, working methods and effects. Most pieces are thrown on a potter’s wheel, but he occasionally uses altered or assembled forms and will use slab hand-building techniques on some vessels.

Kevin studied a Fine Art degree at Loughborough College of Art in 1970, moving to Brighton in 1971 to complete a post-graduate Art Teaching course at Sussex University. He then became head of Art Department at a Hampshire secondary school until 1992, when he began showing his pottery at major UK ceramic fairs and various UK galleries. Relocated to Parracombe, North Devon in 2009 where he opened his own ceramic studio and gallery.
