emily moore

canopyUp until now Moore’s work has had a strong autobiographical aspect with the subject matter and images taken from personal trips and¬†experiences. She’s drawn to mountainous, desolate landscapes, which frequently make an appearance within her work. In contrast to this natural environment she is attracted to the geometric shapes and lines found within man-made structures. Her work explores the tension between these two conflicting themes, attempting to find an overall balance within the final composition. Moore’s practice has encompassed a range of media: painting, photography, printmaking and installation, as a way of exploring these themes.
