Debra Solomon

“Debra Solomon is an Amsterdam based artist and founder of URBANIAHOEVE Social Design Lab for Urban Agriculture. Urbaniahoeve (which translates as ‘the city as our farm’) which has developed food-system infrastructure at several public space locations in the Hague and Amsterdam, transforming the existing landscape architecture, whilst prioritising eco-system health, and implementing in situ topsoil production. Debra’s practice has involved exploring the role of fungi as transformers of organic materials and as soil builders” (CCANW).

Debra’s work was exhibited at White Moose as part of Soil Culture: Young Shoots from 16 April – 4 June 2016. The exhibition featured the work she produced during her 10-day Soil Culture residency at Schumacher College, Dartington.
